An evening of theater and reflection: "Lysistrata" at Cinema Teatro Nuovo
Hotel Ramoverde is pleased to highlight a cultural event of great significance: on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 8:45 PM, the play Lysistrata will be performed at the Cinema Teatro Nuovo in Borgomanero. This comedy by Aristophanes is presented as part of the "499 seggiole… in teatro" series, promoted by the Nati Domani association.
Lysistrata is an ancient text with a profoundly modern message: the protagonist, weary of the wars between Greek cities, leads the women of Athens and other poleis in a sex strike—until the men agree to sign a peace treaty. Organized by the Nati Domani Cultural Association, Lysistrata's plan becomes both political and symbolic: the women occupy the Acropolis to deprive the men of the funds necessary for war, pursuing a strategy that combines irony, provocation, and a strong desire for reconciliation.
The performance alternates between moments of comedy and reflections on responsibility, female empowerment, and the struggle for peace. In the end, victory is celebrated in a festive atmosphere: Lysistrata delivers a pacifist speech, and the play concludes with dancing and banquets—symbols of a reconciliation achieved through courage.
Tickets are priced at €18 for adults and €16 for those under 16 and over 65. They can be purchased both online and directly on the day of the performance.
For Hotel Ramoverde, this theatrical evening is a perfect opportunity to offer guests a meaningful cultural experience: theater as a space for encounter, provocation, and reconciliation. We recommend booking your stay in view of the show, giving friends and family a moment of beauty and reflection during your visit to our region.
